Let’s go fly a kite! This is one of my favorite designs. The knit dishcloth pattern has a picture of a kite with a long trailing tail. The kite is quartered with two of the sections filled in.

The design is not symmetrical so adjustments might need to be made for lefty knitters if it matters which way the kite tail faces.

The picture is created in garter stitch on a stockinette background. The border is seed stitch, but the pattern is written so that you may substitute a preferred border if you wish.

EXCELLENT, as ALL Emily’s patterns are! EASY to follow and read. She gives you 3 things to follow when you purchase her patterns….……the graph, the reg w/ALL of the details, if you’re a new knitter, and the other w/the reg. so it’s short and condensed as I like it, being a knitter for over 40 yr. ! GET her patterns! YOU WILL LOVE them!

I enjoy the mystery KALs so much. I have knitted cloths for my family using Emily’s patterns and they were all delighted with them. I now only use knitted dishcloths as they are so good and I can wash them at very high temperatures.

Very recognizable depiction of a kite. I used a light blue all cotton yarn and it turned out really well. This kite design will make a nice, little gift for family/friends with March birthdays. Thank you, Emily, for another fun, clever (and free) KAL!
