This knit dishcloth design is a picture of an adorable kitty cat. The cat is sitting in profile and faces to the left. Her tail curves up and out and toward the right.
The design is not symmetrical so lefty knitters will need to take care depending upon their knitting style and if it matters which way the kitty is facing.
The picture is created in garter stitch on a stockinette background. The border is seed stitch, but the pattern is written so that you may substitute a preferred border if you wish.

Thank you so much for these wonderful KAL’s, Emily. It was so fun watching the Kitty Cat be revealed. He is very cute, and I’m going to send the finished dishcloth to my Cat Lady relative. She’ll be delighted. I knit the design with a pretty peach color yarn, and it turned out great. I had previously purchased the Running Kitty, and haven’t knit that up yet, but am looking forward to it. You are awesome!

Thank you, Emily, for this very cute kitty pattern. I used a soft orange and that gave it a nice effect, like an orange tabby. I’ll be making this one again and again (in various colors) for cat loving friends and family. I like the pacing of the project – 5 segments of 11 rows each day.

Oh what FUN KAL is!! The Kitty Cat was fun to do and would be a great pattern for a beginner knitter! I knit very loose so I’ve done this pattern on a size 3 needle. Using smaller needles does make the pattern really POP! Looking forward to this week’s Mystery pattern! Thanks. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Mary S

Such a cute kitty. I made mine in pink, not a kitty color,, but it works. It will make a pretty little cloth to lay on a nightstand or something like that. Karen

I love these patterns, so easy to follow and quick to knit up (if one follows the instructions correctly!). I particularly love this cat design. Have joined in on some of the KALs and enjoy the mystery until the pattern begins to emerge.
